DREAM BIG, THINK BIG
I share the conviction of those who encourage people to dream big. The reason is simple: a big dream gives you a bigger target to aim at, and that makes all the difference in life. Let me illustrate.
Imagine I place a small tin of milk and a large poly tank side by side on the ground. Then I ask you to stand a distance away and strike one with a stone. Which would be easier to hit? Naturally, the poly tank, because of its sheer size. The larger the target, the harder it is to miss.
Life works the same way. If your goal and your aspiration are big enough, you are far more likely to hit it, even if your aim is not perfect. But if your dream is too small, you can easily miss it or achieve it too quickly and be left wondering, What now?
I believe a dream should always be bigger than the effort required to achieve it. Why? Because when the effort outweighs the dream, it becomes too easy to quit when challenges arise. People give up, saying, “After all, it’s not worth it.” Life is tough, and the only thing that keeps the tough going is the vision of what lies ahead. The prize must be bigger than the pain it takes to get there.
Small dreams may be comfortable, but they often lead to early retirement, not from work but from purpose. Once achieved, they leave people bored, inactive, and unfulfilled. Big dreams, on the other hand, keep you alive, engaged, and striving for more.
So, imagine without limits. Picture a better tomorrow regardless of today’s circumstances. Visualisation fuels actualisation. And remember—no one will arrest you for dreaming big, and no dream is too big for God Almighty to fulfil.
Think right. Think big. Aim bigger.
