“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” – Proverbs 29:18

In a world driven by instant gratification and the glitter of material wealth, it’s tempting to believe that the secret to lasting love lies in a fat bank account. Yet the timeless wisdom of Proverbs reminds us: “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” True partnership isn’t built on the fleeting excitement of what you can buy today but on the shared anticipation of the future you’ll create together. A clear, compelling vision and a purpose-driven approach have the power to inspire loyalty, foster mutual growth, and transform two lives into a united journey. In the pages that follow, we’ll explore why money may attract attention, but vision sustains devotion; why a woman should not seek just a provider, but a pioneer; and why a man should value a partner who contributes not just herself, but also her gifts, ideas and support.

Men: Vision Prepares the Way for a Suitable Helper

If you want a woman to leave her comfort zone—her family, her plans, her familiar world—you need to show her where you’re going. Not just what you have now, but what you’re building. Because a woman with a future mindset doesn’t just follow a man with cash; she follows a man with clarity and vision.

A woman who only values money will jump ship the moment someone else offers more. She’s not committed to you; she’s committed to her bills. You can’t build a future with someone who is only present for today’s pay cheque.

On the other hand, a woman who believes in your vision will invest in you. A woman who thinks about a future with you will ask about your dreams, your goals, and your immediate plans. She’ll want to know how her skills and strengths can complement your journey. That’s the kind of woman described in Genesis 2:18—a suitable helper, not a gold digger or a temporary companion.

Women, Look Beyond the Surface

Does he have a purpose? A plan? A passion that burns beyond the present?

A woman who aligns herself with a man without vision risks wasting her potential. You weren’t created to be idle; you were made to be a helper with purpose. And to be suitable, the man must be going somewhere worth helping with. Don’t be carried away by the flashy car or temporary comforts—make sure he’s building something that lasts.

Men—don’t just seek beauty or body. Look for a woman who wants to be part of your vision, who listens when you talk about your purpose, who prays with you and encourages your plans.

Women—Don’t just fall for the man who has money but no direction. Find out about the plan and the vision. You’ll build more together than money alone could ever buy.

Vision fuels purpose. And purpose attracts the right partner.
